7-24-20   THOUGHTS

This morning my thoughts turn to God’s use of REWARD in his eternal wisdom. HOPE has EXPECTATION and INHERITANCE.   HEAVEN, is God’s PROMISE.  It is so common sense RIGHT!  Our very creation bears witness to it’s fairness.
We must learn to wait hopefully in faith for what we don’t see right now!  As Hebrews 11 says below, some of our prior faithful lived their entire lives without ever seeing what they hoped for.  Are you listening...  “They DIED IN FAITH WITHOUT RECEIVING THE PROMISES...”

Rom 8:22-25   For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23  And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. 24  For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? 25  But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
Heb 11:13-16   All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. 14  For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own. 15  And indeed if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16  But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.
2Cor 1:8-10     For we do not want you to be unaware, brethren, of our affliction which came to us in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life; 9  indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead; 10  who delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver

SONG:  ”This World Is Not My Home, I’m Just A Passing Through...”
We need to think more about HEAVEN and less about this world!

My Prayer:
Oh Great Father in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Increase the desire in our hearts to be with you.  Raise up our hopes in your promises that we may live currently with great enthusiasm.  Help us to be renewed in the spirit of our inner man.  Teach us Oh God to set our thoughts on things above, not on the things of this world.       In the Name of precious Jesus       Amen
